Communicating Innovation

Crafting a visual narrative for Air Force innovation.

As part of the AFWERX and SpaceWERX strategic communications team supporting U.S. Air Force and U.S. Space Force innovation initiatives, I developed digital campaigns and communication assets that translated complex programs and emerging technologies into clear visual stories. The work included social media campaigns, event promotion, program announcements, website design support, and the creation of a digital annual report.

I led concept development and creative direction, establishing a flexible visual system used across initiatives including AFWERX, SpaceWERX, Spark Street, and Project Arc. Bold color blocking, layered photography, and modular typography created a scalable framework that allowed campaigns to move quickly while maintaining strong visual consistency across digital platforms, web experiences, and program communications.

The work also extended into the physical environment through the development of environmental graphics and wayfinding for a new AFWERX innovation hub, connecting the digital visual language to a real-world space designed to bring together Airmen, innovators, and industry partners.

Another key component of the project was designing the screen-based AFWERX Annual Report, transforming dense program data into an engaging digital narrative and visualizing metrics to highlight mission impact and innovation outcomes.
