Type Layering

About This Project

This poster series emerged from an ongoing typographic investigation exploring how we recognize and interpret the inherent characteristics of letterforms—even when they’re fragmented, abstracted, or removed from their original context. Using stencils created from found and salvaged letters, numbers, and symbols, I experimented with layering, masking, and intuitive placement to push the boundaries of legibility and form.

The resulting compositions are intentionally spontaneous yet visually cohesive—revealing unexpected rhythms, textures, and spatial relationships. Each poster becomes a study in typographic archaeology, celebrating the beauty of deconstructed characters while prompting viewers to reconsider how meaning and identity persist within type, even in its most altered states.
